“The difference between dreaming and envisioning is deliberate action towards making the impossible possible.”
Charmarlina Brazile
Artist & Service Design Graduate Student
Charmarlina “Lina” Brazile is a second-year Service Design graduate student inspired by her undergraduate studies in Interior Design. Mies Van der Rohe's functional yet elegant designs inspire her the most. She is also deeply inspired by the sublime and different lighting experiences that James Turrell provides in various form and space.
The feeling that pierces the inner essence of the most purest form of the human experience in the built environment, a real emotional event that takes place, truly inspires Charmarlina the most about interior design.
As a curious, self-driven design student, Charmarlina is passionate in emerging technologies, sustainability, social and socioeconomic equities, and immersive environments in the areas of hospitality, healthcare, and office design. Charmarlina strives in achieving "multiple experiences" with functional design.
Learning and creating innovation together are the biggest change drivers in creating harmony in today’s global environment and communit, which is why she has chosen to further pursue higher education in Service Design to enhance her love for interiors. Charmarlina's passion for helping others innately came from childhood, where she answers the call for any opportunity to give back to those in need.
